Every chess match tells a story—of patience, strategy, and quiet determination. At the ABSH Chess Tournament in San Pedro Sula, Discovery School’s Wolves wrote a story worth celebrating.
Facing competitors from more than 10 schools, Camila R. approached every game with confidence and focus, move by move. Her dedication paid off as she was crowned Champion, earning her a place among the Top 5 active chess players nationwide—a remarkable achievement that reflects both talent and perseverance.
Alongside her, Jesús and Alejandro demonstrated resilience and growth, finishing Top 12 and Top 15 respectively. Their performance showed that success in chess is not only about winning, but about learning, discipline, and the courage to keep thinking ahead.
What makes this story even more meaningful is that this is only the second time Discovery School has participated in the ABSH Chess Tournament, yet our students continue to stand out with results that speak of preparation, commitment, and passion for the game.
