Message from the Head of School

Dear Discovery Families,

It is a great honor to join Discovery School as Head of School. I am excited to become part of a community with a long-standing tradition, a strong identity, and, most importantly, a bright future filled with possibility.

For the past fourteen years, I have had the privilege of working in international education and learning from school communities in different parts of the world. Most recently, I served in Casablanca, Morocco. These experiences have shaped my understanding of what makes an international school truly special: its people, its sense of community, its openness to the world, and its commitment to helping young people discover who they are and who they can become.

At the heart of my educational philosophy is a simple belief: schools are places where young people should feel safe to explore, experiment, question, create, make mistakes, and grow. Education is not only about acquiring knowledge and skills. It is about becoming a good human being—curious, compassionate, principled, confident, and ready to contribute positively to the world.

I believe every student should feel known, valued, challenged, and supported. I also believe that the strongest schools are built through meaningful relationships and genuine partnerships between students, families, teachers, staff, and leadership.

This is one of the reasons I was drawn to Discovery. In my early encounters with the school, I have seen tremendous eagerness and potential, together with a genuine commitment to developing internationally minded young people who are prepared to engage thoughtfully with an increasingly connected world.

As I begin this journey, I also want to recognize and respect the strong foundation upon which I am standing. Discovery has been shaped by generations of students, families, educators, and leaders who have contributed to the school we know today. I believe that moving forward means honoring that legacy while remaining curious about what is possible next.

My first priority will be to listen and learn. I want to get to know our students, hear from our families, work alongside our teachers and staff, and understand what makes Discovery special to the people who call it home. From that foundation, we can continue to grow together.

I am not arriving at Discovery to tell the community what it should become. I am arriving to understand what makes it special, listen carefully to where it wants to grow, and work alongside the community to shape its next chapter.

To our current and future families: welcome to Discovery. I look forward to meeting you, learning from you, and sharing in the exciting journey ahead.

Thank you for welcoming me into this community. I am honored to be here and excited to discover what we can accomplish together.

Warmly,
