Thank you to our DPTO (Discovery School Parent Teacher Organization) for a fantastic virtual UN Day event! This is an iconic celebration for Discovery School, as we celebrate the diversity and the many cultures of our student body.
For this UN Day, the DS families created different activities and videos from their home country and the students "visited" them and learned about their traditions. They had lots of fun doing the activities that represented each country, such as "How to make Brigadeiros (Brazil)", "How to Dance Bachata(Dominican Republic), "The Art of Origami (Japan)", "How to decorate an "Altar de Muertos" (Mexico) or a "Live Pounds Workout Session all the way from U.S.A". They also visited many famous museums and zoos.
