The Secondary Program (grades 6-12) works to develop the skills required for lifetime learning while concentrating on core knowledge in the basic areas of language arts, mathematics, natural science, and social science.  Students learn core facts and information but the emphasis is on researching, synthesizing, testing, discussing, and presenting information.  Much class time is spent on projects and discussion to promote higher level thinking skills. Students are required to explore concepts, check understanding of those concepts and then apply them in concrete ways.

The secondary is built around a team concept with teachers working together to meet the needs of the students.   Students and teachers work together to explore and discover, and students work together in teams through collaborative learning exercises. Assignments and projects are designed to develop responsibility and self-discipline.
